OPENING LEAD
What suit should I lead?
A. Lead partner's best suit. How do you know partner's best suit?
- He bid it.
- An opponent didn't bid it.
- It's the highest ranked suit nobody bid.
B. Lead your best suit:
- Top of an honor sequence.
- Fourth from top.
- Don't lead from an ace - unless partner has the king!
C. Lead your worst suit:
- A singleton.
- A doubleton, high-low.
- A void!
BIDDING
The bidding goes:
NORTH SOUTH
1 diamond 1 spade
2 clubs
Question: How many diamonds does north have?
Answer: Bid 2 diamonds and let partner play there. If he doesn’t have five, next
time he will.
FOR THE HUMOR
Three religious truths:
1. Jews don't recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
2. Protestants don't recognize the Pope as leader.
3. Baptists don't recognize each other in the liquor store or Hooters.
